Privacy Policy
Effective November 5, 2026
In short: we collect the details you send us so we can build your preview and run your website. We don't sell your information, and we never share your phone number or text-message consent with anyone for their marketing.
Who we are
Trail Connect ("we," "us") builds and runs websites for contractors and local businesses. This policy covers trailconnectus.com and the services we provide through it. Questions? Email sales@trailconnectus.com or call 631 506 6944.
What we collect
- What you send us: your name, business name, phone number, email address, type of business, the area you serve, your current website, and whether you agreed to receive text messages.
- Client information: if you become a client, the content you give us for your site (such as text, photos and logos) and the billing details needed to charge you. Card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.
- Quote requests on client websites: when someone asks for a quote on a website we run for a client, we collect the details they enter (such as name, phone, email, town and project details) on that client's behalf.
- Technical information: your IP address and browser type when you send a form, which we use to stop spam and to keep a record of your consent. If you arrived from an ad or a shared link, we also note which one (for example, "facebook").
How we use it
- To build your free preview and contact you about it.
- To provide our services: building and hosting your site, making changes, and sending you quote-request alerts.
- To bill you, and to send messages about your account.
- To prevent spam and abuse, and to keep our services secure.
- To understand which ads and links bring people to us.
Text messages
We only text you if you check the box agreeing to it, or if you're a client who signed up for text alerts. Messages are about your preview, your website, your account and, for clients, new quote requests. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile information is shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages. Agreeing to texts is never required to get a preview or buy a plan.
Who we share information with
We don't sell personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting (Cloudflare), text messaging, email delivery and payment processing. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- With the business you asked for a quote, if you submit a request on a website we run for that business.
- When required by law, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
- With a buyer or successor if our business is ever sold or merged.
Cookies and tracking
Our website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. We use one cookie only to keep our own staff signed in to our admin page. When you arrive from an ad or a shared link, your browser keeps a note of it until you close the tab, so it can be saved with your request. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them. If we ever add advertising tools, we'll update this policy first.
Do Not Track: we don't track visitors across other websites, so we don't change anything based on your browser's Do Not Track setting.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to you, provide our services and keep business records. System alerts and message logs are deleted automatically after 45 to 60 days. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, unless we're required by law to keep it.
Security
Our site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to stored information is limited to our password-protected admin tools. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices
- To see, correct or delete the information we have about you, email sales@trailconnectus.com or call 631 506 6944. We'll respond within 30 days.
- To stop text messages, reply STOP. To stop emails, reply and ask us to stop.
Children
Our services are for businesses and aren't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we'll also notify our clients by email or text before they take effect.
